international guardianship
I have a 16yr old daughter going thru some issues right now and basically disrubting the entire household because she doesn't want to be there. My best friend who is a US citizen residing in Canada has agreed to let her live there. We need to find out about my giving her legal guardianship, and if that would allow my daughter to be included in the work visa my friends husband has so that they could register her for school and provide for her while she is there.

Certainly you can execute guardianship papers that will be valid in both countries. But that alone will normally not affect the visa or immigration issues and bestow any benefits as a result.

I did the same for my US daughter and arranged 3 yrs in Canada.
