Custody of my Niece???

My brother has lost custody of his children due to circumstances in the household. Two of the children are his step children and are going back to live with their father, but the youngest is his. He has contacted me and asked me if I will take her from cps custody. I am needing to know what all my husband and I will have to provide/prove in order to gain custody of her. We have a stable loving home, and my husband is in the military, so we are very capable of taking care of her. We just need to know what the first steps are.

well u need to show the court more than youll take her of her. u should show them u really do care for your neice. you do need to show them u can afford her living in your house and like you said your husband is in the military. so does that mean that she wiill be an army bratt that moves around alot? bc that could mess with her schooling. has she ever stayed with you before? because if she did that could work out in your favor=]

where is mom in all this? she'd be first in line for custody.
