Dear Sir,

I'm Ms.Bargavi(Hindu) from India.
I need some clarifications regarding child adoption.

I'm an unmarried woman.
I like to adopt a boy baby.
My doubt is that :
1.what is the initial or last name for the adopted child?
which name should i use in the place of father's name required by almost all organisations?

2.can i change the name for the adopted child?

Please give me the details.

You can name the child with your last name.

And if a court approves you can change the name completely however you wish, if need be.

Not a big problem if you want to adopt a child
you can get the papers approved by the court
and change the name of the child and as well as the last name of the child
