Question how can my husband adopt my child

My husband and i got back together after weve been apart for half a year.
At that time i was seeing someone and got pregnant on accident. Since then we broke it up and when i told him about the pregnancy he said maybe its best to give it up but that is not my decision I want this child and happy to be having it. Now my husband and i got back together and are working things out and he wishes to be the father of this child and would like to be able to adopt him when hes born. How would i go step by step on doing this. The biological father moved out of state and were not talking. What kind of forms would i have to get in order to get this started.

You will need to get the permission of the bio father to adopt unless you are married at the time of the birth. If you are married the child will normally be assumed to be the child of the married parents.

You said "my husband" more than once. Are you in fact married? If so then there should be no problem. If a couple is married when a child is born then by default the husband is listed as the father on the birth certificate unless he files a denial of paternity.

Good luck!
